Third National Conference On Safety In port

Iran Port and Shipping Organization (PSO) which is one of the subsidiaries of Ministry of Transportation & Road in Iran, in the path of its goals, has taken required action for inaugurating safety seminar in the last number of years.

In the year 2004, every year on 13,14,15 February a lateral fair of safety and fire fighting is held beside this big seminar in which the producers of safety, fire fighting, relief and life saving equipment and companies rendering safety and fire fighting services and also colleges inaugurating specialized training courses in this path, are participating in this fair.

Europars H.S.E.Q in the path of its activities in the field of safety, fire fighting, relief and life saving and in the path of its projects with the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines, intend to invite Swedish companies interest to participate in this fair.

About the Conference:

Everlasting development of science and technology, evolutionary survey of technology and utilizing new equipment, has procured most of the requirements of human societies in various dimensions, but miss-works and subjects resulting from using regulations and principles of safety simultaneously with the development of technology, resulted to destruction of economic and environmental sources. Also, the human resources in the path of development as a worthy investment is facing serious dangers and risks and securing and protecting this potential ability in addition to the human duty, is the most primary step towards the sustainable development. Therefore, Europars with the cooperation of PSO for providing scientific-applied grounds and expansion and development of research and activities, introducing new topics and ideas in the various fields of safety, health and environment of ports and increasing interaction and sympathy between researchers and pundits in the path of promotion of ports safety, is inaugurating the 3rd National Conference on Ports Safety from 13 to 15 February 2007 at the International Conference Centers of IRIB. Hope that considering the presence of potential and talents of researchers, to reach to its main goals with the active participation of scientific society.

Simultaneously with the expansion of ports and transfer of activities to the private sector, promotion and location of safety, health and environment standards in the port sites is inevitable, therefore the main goal of this seminar is to create a suitable space and environment for discussion and exchange of opinion and transfer of experience between the specialists and authorities and getting information from the recent issues and introduction of new topics and issues in the field of safety, health and environment. In this connection the specialized and technical powers also have opportunity to show their abilities and to provide necessary grounds for future cooperation. Hope, considering the presence of potential and talents of researches to reach to its main goals with the active participation of scientific society.

The scientific committee of the seminar intend to invite number of international pundits and specialists in the field of ports safety, health and environment to present lecture in the seminar. Adjoining to the Conference, fair will be held with the aim of presenting and introducing research and scientifical issues in the field of safety, fire fighting, relief and rescue. The lateral fair at Ibn Sina hall possessing all necessary facilities, will provide a suitable situation for consultant companies, contractors, research and educational centers, marine transportation and port services companies, manufacturers of safety equipment and other organs in order to provide necessary ground for cooperation and exchange of services with the interest parties by presenting their issues and abilities.
